Once you arrange all the documents, you need to fill an application form for homestay business registration and submit it along with other documents. Fees for registration also need to be submitted at the same time.
When you submit the application with all the documents & fee, an inspection for homestay conditions will be conducted by the authority. This inspection is conducted during the registration process. Make sure everything you described in the application form is true otherwise the registration can be canceled.
If everything goes right and in the flow, then the registration will be approved. License for homestay will be issued in a few days. And then you can start your homestay business.
The total fee for homestay registration starts at ₹53,000 for silver category and ₹55,000 for Gold Category Homestay.

The Eligibility Criteria for registering a homestay is as follow:
Individuals or families who own a house of good quality in the state and can spare at least 1 room and up to a maximum of 6 rooms for tourist accommodation.
Registration will be only possible when the owner or applicant of the house along with his/her family should live in the same unit.
At least one of the family members should be able to communicate in English.
Houses that are located in famous tourist destinations will get priority.
