• GST Registration Certificate
• Import-Export Code’s Detail.
• Latest Passport size photograph (all Partners/all Directors/Proprietor).
• Partnership deed in respect of Partnership firms/Memorandum of Association of the Company.
• Allotment letter, property tax receipt, or Proof of Legal title of the premises/Copy of the sale deed.NOC from the owner, a lease or rental agreement, and a factory, trade, or manufacturing license from MCD, NDMC, or DDA, among other documents, are required. An affidavit-based undertaking that the business location is not in a non-conforming area and/or is not likely to be sealed by the MCD or relocated must be submitted if the applicant does not immediately have access to the MCD license. • Voter ID cards, passports, or other forms as residential address documentation of the partners, proprietors, and directors.

• LMPC Registration Application:- First, the application form must be completed in order to receive the LMPC Certificate. A request is made to the director or controller of legal metrology.
• Submission of the Documents:- Documents such as a current merchant or business owner license, and a business permit along with application form are submitted.
• Reviewing of Application:- The application form and any supporting documents are examined by the tax officer.
• Premises Inspection:- In the Process of providing a certificate, the tax officer inspects the business location.
• Make Payment:- Payment is made after the process is finished. The production of registration certificates takes seven days.
• Issuing of LMPC Certificate:- After completion of the registration process. LMPC Certificates are issued.

• Name and address of the manufacturer and packer where packer and manufacturer are different.And Address and Name of the manufacturer.
• Country of Origin of the Commodity
• Generic or Common Name of commodity.
• MRP of the products or Maximum Retail Price
• Net weight or quantity of the product expressed as a standard unit measure, weight, or quantity
• Email address, name, telephone no., and address, need to be mentioned of the person in case of complaint by the customer.
• Commodity’s Country of Origin.
• Details on the import, manufacture, or pre-packing year and month.
• Net quantity of the product contained in the package in terms of standard unit measure or weight or in number
• Detail of the year and month of pack or import or manufacture or pre-packed.
• The person's name, phone number, address, and email address of the person must be stated, in case of complaint by the customer.

Who needs to get LMPC Registration?

There are several people who must receive an LMPC registration and certificate, as follows:

• Importer: LMPC Certification needs to be obtained by the importer prior to selling the products.
• Manufacturers: Packaged commodities need to comply with the requirement of the LMPC Certificate in Mumbai.
• Distribution: Products that they sell are compiled with the legal requirement of the packaged goods.
• Retailer: Anybody who is engaged in the selling of the product needs to get the LMPC Certificate.

Prior to beginning the import of the product, there are various declarations must be made as listed below:

• Address of manufacturer
• Country of origin of the product
• The year in which the product is imported
• Manufacturer’s details like address and name.
• Year and Month of manufacture of the product

For Weight and Measuring (W&M) Instruments

• Importer registration for weight and measuring instruments

There are certain exemptions to the LMPC Rules as mentioned below -

• Any chemical formulation that is included in the Drug Order of 1995.
• Packages used in agriculture production that weigh more than 50 kg.
• Any packaged, cooked fast food is found in a hotel or restaurant.
• If the packaged food's net weight is less than 10 grams or 10 millimeters

• Packages for institutional or industrial consumers.
• Only cement and fertilizer are sold in 50-kilogram bundles when the package weighs more than 25 kg or 25 liters.
