Pre-packaged goods are sold and distributed, by manufacturers and importers need to get the LMPC Certificate. Applications for the LMPC Certificate are received by the controller of the legal metrology. This certificate must be requested no later than 90 days after the importation process began. Eliminating unfair practices and increasing customer knowledge are the two main objectives of the LMPC Certificate. There are a certain exemptions to the LMPC Certificate like products having a minimum net weight or volume of 10 grams or 10 milliliters, agricultural goods packaged in more than 50 kg worth etc
