LMPC Certificates for Repacker: A Comprehensive Overview

• GST Registration Certificate
• Import-Export Code’s Detail.
• Latest Passport size photograph (all Partners/all Directors/Proprietor).
• Partnership deed in respect of Partnership firms/Memorandum of Association of the Company.
• Allotment letter, property tax receipt, or Proof of Legal title of the premises/Copy of the sale deed.NOC from the owner, a lease or rental agreement, and a factory, trade, or manufacturing license from MCD, NDMC, or DDA, among other documents, are required. An affidavit-based undertaking that the business location is not in a non-conforming area and/or is not likely to be sealed by the MCD or relocated must be submitted if the applicant does not immediately have access to the MCD license. For a company, a copy of a memorandum of articles needs to be attached
• Voter ID cards, passports, or other forms as residential address documentation of the partners, proprietors, and directors.

Additional documents required

• Receipt of Offences for which challenged and whether it is compounded.
• Commercial area’s Proof.

• Filling of LMPC Registration Application:- The first application form needs to be filled. The application form is submitted at the local government unit to the director of metrology.
• Submission of the Documents:- Required documents need to be submitted along with the application form.
• Reviewing of Application:- After the submission of the application and document. These are reviewed by the proper tax officer.
• Make Payment:- After the verification of the documents and application. The required fee needs to be paid. Within 7 days a registration certificate is issued.
• Issuing of LMPC Certificate:- After the completion of the process, an LMPC Certificate is issued.

There are different declarations that need to be made on all the pre-packed goods as mentioned below -

• Generic or Common name of the commodity on the package.
• Name and address of importer
• Generic or Common Name of commodity.
• Net quantity of the commodity on the package in the standard unit
• The retail sale price of the commodity/commodities
• Where the size of the commodity is a relevant dimension the commodity needs to be mentioned.
• For net quantity assurance, E-Code needs to be mentioned.
• QR code/GTIN/Barcode
• Government scheme’s logos when authorised by the government.

Further changes are amended as mentioned below -

• On the larger packets, the MRP would be 1.5 times larger.
• Dual MRP
• Small Packet’s MRP, the Size of the quantity is double.

There are certain exemptions to the LMPC Rules for E-Commerce as mentioned below -

• If the weight of the package is 25kg or 25 litres.
• Cement, fertiliser, or agricultural farm products are more than 50k.g
• Industrial customer or institutional of the packaged commodities.
