Search for Trademarks

1. Step 1. Type the brand name or trademark that you want to register for your business in the first search box.
2. Step 2. Select the Industry type or Class under which your business falls like Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Machinery, and others. There are a total of 45 classes in the drop-down menu, so you need to understand them first. To know more about the different classes of trademarks, you can utilize the Trademark Class Finder Tool.
3. Step 3. The third box is not mandatory. But if you particularly want to know whether any other trademark contains the exact word or phonetically similar to your selected trademark name, then you can utilize it also.
4. Step 4. Click on the search icon. You will get all the information related to the searched trademark.

The following data will be shown to you:

1. If the trademark has not been applied for registration in your selected class, then it will be displayed as, “Your Trademark” IS AVAILABLE FOR REGISTRATION PROTECT YOUR BRAND BEFORE IT’S REGISTERED.
2. If someone already applied for registration of the selected trademark, then you will be shown all the information related to the status of their Trademark Registration. You might be shown different statuses like Abandoned, Removed, Registered, Opposed, Refused, Withdrawn, and Objected.
3. Additionally, information such as logo, applied date, application number, TM name, and user update will be shown there.
4. One important aspect of Trademark Registration is that you can apply for any name/word already registered but in a different class.
