The process for acquiring a WPC ETA Certificate can be understood by these following steps:
The first step is to plan a Radio Frequency Test, to be conducted in an Authorized Indian Laboratory to check the frequency level of the product as per the guidelines, only certain frequency range devices in India are approved to obtain a WPC ETA Certificate.
Next step is preparing all the documents required to achieve the WPC ETA Certificate that are to be submitted for further procedure. All the documents should be Complete and truthful.
The third step is to file an Online application at Saral Sanchar Portal (Simplified Application For Registration and Licenses). It is a Web based Portal, for Issuing of various types of Licenses and Registration certificates is a part of various Digital initiatives being taken by the Department of Telecommunications.
After Completing the Radio Frequency Test, preparing documents for the process and filing the online portal, Necessary documents are asked to submit including the Radio Frequency test to WPC for verification process.
One of the officers of WPC will evaluate the documents and Radio Frequency Test Report and check whether it is correct or not.
If the officer finds transparency in the documents and gets satisfied with the procedure, then he/she will approve the ETA Certificate.
In Nagaland, the estimated duration of time is 30-35 working days for the Certification process of WPC ETA.
Validity & Renewal WPC ETA License is granted for a particular model therefore it is valid as long as the model is manufactured without any modifications. No renewal is required for WPC ETA License.
